Main bedroom
Under the eaves, with a generous double bed and morning light across the floor.
A red-brick farmhouse at the edge of the Danish Wadden Sea — made for slow mornings, wide skies, books, music, and guests who come back.
Not a typical rental, but a farmhouse in quiet symbiosis with the sea.
Villa Amada sits where the marsh meets the Wadden Sea — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape that shifts with every tide, every season, every hour of light. Open marshes at the door, the water 300 metres away, the view reaching Rømø and Sylt.
Villa Amada is a 160 m² farmhouse built in the regional red brick of South Jutland. Inside, the rooms are calm and full of character — exposed beams overhead, painted floorboards underfoot, and two wood-burning stoves for the long Danish evenings.
A vaulted living room sits under the roof. Downstairs, a long dining table waits for slow breakfasts and late dinners. Windows frame the open marsh, and on clear days the view carries all the way to Rømø and Sylt.
The house is curated rather than decorated — shelves of books in several languages, records and music, and pieces gathered over time. It is made to be lived in.

The Wadden Sea is the largest unbroken system of tidal flats on earth, and a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. From Villa Amada it is a 300-metre walk to open water and wide, changing skies.
It rewards slow attention. The tide remakes the coast twice a day, and the light is never quite the same from one hour to the next.
Villa Amada is in the Danish Wadden Sea National Park, in the marshland of South Jutland. The sea is about 300 metres away, with Rømø within easy reach by car.
A car is recommended — it is the best way to reach the beaches, the island crossings and the nearby towns. The exact address and directions are shared with guests after booking.
For guests who want to know the region, not just visit it. Dates and availability are on Airbnb — or write to Nina directly.
